So I wake up and get the morning routine going;
- Get me and the kids dressed.
- Make sure they have something for breakfast.
- Grab everything they need.
- School run.
- Nursery run.
Now I need to pop to a shop when so I can get a hand towel/sweat towel for the gym. By the time I leave the shop I have half an hour to drop the pushchair and scooter off at home, grab my gym stuff and leg it to the gym for my first Personal Trainer session. (To find out more about what happened at the gym and my personal training session check out my post.) Luckily I get to the gym in time!
After the gym I have to drop my bag at home and then head to my sons school. (I am walking funny at this point as I worked hard in the gym and my body was not use to it!)
I get to the school as I had volunteered to help out and chaperone my sons class to swimming lessons. (Now that was interesting to see) When we got to the leisure center and waited for the kids to change into their suits, They had to come out of the cubicles and wait in a line. The girls were racing against the boys and when the boys had peeped their heads round to see if the girls were ready in their lines there mouths dropped open. (Oh dear – was all I could think – are we at this stage now?) Then the girls peeped round to see if the boys were ready and they started giggling at the sight of them in just swimming trunks.
We got into the swimming area and the boys went first one by one showing what they could do whether they could swim and /or how confident they were being in the water. Then it was the girls turn and oh my didn’t they show off! Each one except from about five I think were forward stroking, backward stroking and then doing that mermaid swimming! All the boys were like “woooow!”
I was asked to go get some swimming noodles as they were running low. (If you don’t know what swimming noodle are they are these foam tube things that help teach them to float and also have fun in the water.)
When I got back I saw my son in his group of learners and was happy to see him loving his lesson, having fun and feeling confident!
After the lessons and the kids got dried and dressed it was time to head back to the school. After we got to the school I said bye to my son and his class and headed off to call my sister who was going to be picking my daughter up ass I wasn’t sure if I would have been able to pick her up in time but it turns out I had enough time.
I wont go into it on this post but after we picked her up and my sister went to get food we ended up having a general disagreement that turned into an argument which left to having to pack my daughter bits up and leaving my sister where she was as I was going to be late to pick my son up from his after school club. (It’s important to be on time when it comes to schools, nurseries and children which she didn’t seem to understand.) I haven’t spoken to her since but the whole thing has made me feel rather ill; stress induced headaches and related nausea. 😦 Hence why I wasn’t able to post sooner.
I had to carry my kids bags and coats as well as dragging/picking up my tantruming (not a real word but I’m using it!) daughter across town from the school to back home feeling worse and worse and every step i took was sooo painful due to my achy and sore muscles! I managed to get home and sent my daughter to bed. made some food for me and my son and then I had to go to bed early.
Thank you for reading and I hope you had a better day than me!
